Calling all community organizing and food enthusiasts!

Are you interested in bringing people together for a shared learning experience to:

  • Develop food leadership in your community
  • Network with like-minded individuals
  • Identify opportunities to address food needs in your community
  • Have fun?!

Food For All NB is offering three micro-grants of $1500 each to support Community Food Mentor (CFM) Trainings in New Brunswick!! 

  • Requirements

    • Must live in New Brunswick, Canada
    • Must be ready to follow the Community Food Mentor (CFM) Training Syllabus
    • Must be ready to plan, deliver, and report on your CFM training by Monday, November 18th, 2024
    • Must be able to receive grant payment in cheque form through an agency (e.g. First Nation, non-profit, charity, library, school, municipality, etc.) that you are working for or are partnering with (we can help connect you with an organization)
    • Cannot allocate more than $500 per individual honorarium (see more budget details in the Application Budget Estimate template)

     

     

    As part of our selection process, Food For All will prioritize applications:

    • where the training is set to take place in a First Nation community or catered to a racialized, immigrant, and/or newcomer group (e.g. organized by a Multicultural Association);
    • where the training is to be held in French or other non-English language;
    • where the training is taking place in North West or South West-Centre NB counties (as this is where the least amount of CFM trainings have taken place so far)
  • What we offer

    • Coordination & facilitation support materials;
    • A detailed and malleable syllabus;
    • Promotional support;
    • 1 on 1 support via video/phone call with Community Food Mentor Program Coordinator; and
    • Local & regional connections to support your training needs

    2. Fill out and submit the online application form and Application Budget Estimate template (please upload this template in the application form - see last question)
