NEWS: We are the Farm to School Regional Lead in New Brunswick!

Food For All NB, in partnership with Farm to Cafeteria Canada and the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries, is pleased to announce it has taken on the role of Farm to School Regional Lead in New Brunswick.

Farm to School (F2S) is a holistic approach to school food that supports the health and wellbeing of students, their families and their communities by:

1) bringing healthy, local food into schools;

2) providing students with hands-on learning opportunities that foster food literacy; and

3) strengthening the local food system and enhancing school and community connectedness.

“Local food to school” can be used instead of “farm to school”, to reflect the diversity of local and traditional foods that can be enjoyed in schools from coast to coast to coast, many of which are not sourced from a farm. Farm to Cafeteria Canada, a pan-Canadian organization with a vision for food systems that nourish people and the planet, is proud to provide leadership in growing Canada's farm to school movement.

Meet Geneviève, our Project Coordinator. She will be your point of contact for all things F2S.

This new role will enhance our ongoing work of supporting school food actions around the province as the single point of contact for past, present, and future Farm to School grantees.
