Agricultural landscapes are home to many species at risk and species of cultural importance. What are those species? And how can we help to conserve and protect key ecosystems?
On this 13th episode of our What the Food?! series, join us and Nature NB's Emilie Belliveau in exploring the important role that healthy ecosystems and wildlife play in supporting local agriculture, food security, and resilient communities.
Emilie Belliveau is a Program Coordinator with Nature NB, where she works on projects focused on species at risk, wildlife conservation, and the protection of vulnerable ecosystems, including agricultural landscapes. Through Nature NB’s agricultural conservation initiatives, Emilie works with farmers across New Brunswick to support practical, sustainable approaches that benefit wildlife while maintaining productive and viable farm operations. She is passionate about highlighting the important role that healthy ecosystems and wildlife play in supporting local agriculture, food security, and resilient communities, and enjoys helping connect people with opportunities to protect nature while supporting local farmers.
