May 25, 2020; 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (AST)

Applications are now being accepted for the Community Food Action (CFA) grant program. This is the same grant program that was previously offered through the Wellness Branch and has recently been transferred to the Department of Health-Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.  Grant applications for the Community Food Action Program will be accepted throughout the year, providing funds are available.

Application documents can be found on the Public Health website.

Food For All NB hosted information sessions about the Community Food Action Grant Program on Monday, May 25th at 1:00pm (English) and 2:00pm (French).

Are you interested in taking food action in your community? This info session provides an overview of the Community Food Action (CFA) grant program offered by the New Brunswick Department of Health.

The CFA grant program can provide up to $5,000 to support community-led solutions to help improve healthy eating in New Brunswick by creating greater food security at the community level. Typical actions that are funded through this program include community gardens, community kitchens, bulk buying clubs, farmer’s markets, and food related education programs.

Speaker: Christine LeBlanc, Program Advisor with the Department of Health, shares an overview of the program, and how it might support your local food actions and initiatives.
